After being down 2-0 at halftime, Women's Professional Soccer's All-Stars scored four unanswered goals in the second half, two from Christine Sinclair, as they defeated Umea IK of Sweden, 4-2, in the inaugural WPS All-Star Game presented by the US Coast Guard Sunday at the Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton, MO.
Marta of the Los Angeles Sol, who was named the league's PUMA Golden Boot and Michelle Akers Player of the Year winner, added a goal and two assists, and Kristine Lilly also had a goal.
Umea took the early lead when Mami Yamaguchi assisted Madelaine Edlund scored the first goal in the third minute, then padded it in the 18th on an unassisted goal from Sofia Jakobsson.
