Ramiro Corrales and Bobby Convey combined in the third minute of second half stoppage time to help Chris Wondolowski scored the game-winning goal as the host San Jose Earthquakes took a 1-0 win over the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer play Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
The Earthquakes still maintain the worst record in the Western Conference and second-worst in the league this season at 5-11-5 with 20 points and will be at the New England Revolution next Saturday.
Kansas City is 5-9-6 with 21 points and are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference after the loss. The Wizards host Real Salt Lake next Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
