The defending United Soccer Leagues First Division champion Vancouver Whitecaps announced the signing of defender Shaun Pejic to a contract for the rest of the season with an option for the 2010 season.
He played 19 games last season for York City FC in the English Conference National after playing over 200 games from the 2001 through 2008 seasons with Wrexham FC.
His father played in England for Stoke City, Hereford United and Wrexham, where he serves as the team's physiotherapist, as well for the Wales Men's National Team.
Pejic's uncle also played for Stoke City, as well as for Everton and Aston Villa.
