Abby Wambach had two goals and an assist as her Washington Freedom clinched the third seed in the Women's Professional Soccer playoffs, beginning next Saturday, with a 3-1 win over Sky Blue FC Saturday at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, MD.
The Freedom will host a playoff game next weekend, but their opponent won't be decided until the final day of the regular season Sunday.
If the Boston Breakers upset the regular season champion Los Angeles Sol at Harvard Sunday, they will face the Freedom.
If Boston loses or the game ends in a draw, Sky Blue gets a rematch with the Freedom.
