USMNT Names Roster For Next Two WCQ Games

US Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley Thursday announced a 24-player training camp roster for the team's next two CONCACAF 2010 World Cup Qualifying matches September 5 against El Salvador at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT and September 9 against Trinidad & Tobago at Hasley Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain.

Training camp begins Sunday in Utah, then the team leaves September 7 for Port-of-Spain.

The US is in third place in the final six-team hexagonal standings at 3-2-1 with 10 points, behind Costa Rica, the standings leader, and Honduras in second place, based on better goal differential to the Americans.

The top three teams in the standings after 10 games will automatically qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa while the fourth-place team must win a two-leg aggregate goal playoff against the fifth-place South American team to earn a tournament berth.

Ths US will play for the first time at Rio Tinto Stadium and in the state of Utah for the first time since beating Costa Rica, 3-0, June 4, 2005 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in CONCACAF qualifying for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The Americans are 13-1-5 all-time against El Salvador and 4-0-3 in World Cup qualifying matches.
