In a letter from United Soccer Leagues to owner Joey Saputo of the First Division's Montreal Impact, released Monday, the league stated their full support for the eventual release of midfielder Sandro Grande, following issues over salary.
After Grande was released by the Impact, Grande contacted USL officials July 22 demanding they intervene in the matter, but the league refused to do so, thus ending the case.
