Two of the top three teams in the women's soccer world rankings will meet for the first time since January 2007 when the number-one US team faces third-ranked Germany October 29 in Augbserg, Germany, the US team announced Friday.
The game will be played at Impuls Arena, a new 30,000-seat stadium that will serve as one of nine stadiums to host games for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The US is 16-4-4 all-time against Germany.
