Mandjou Keita scored two goals and Ryan Pore extended his goal-scoring streak to six games as the host Portland Timbers became the first United Soccer Leagues First Division team to clinch a 2009 season playoff berth and extended their league-leading unbeaten streak to 23 games with a 3-1 victory at PGE Park Saturday over the Miami FC Blues.
Tim Merritt had Miami's lone goal.
The Timbers lead the league at 14-1-9 with 51 points and next travel to Blackbaud Stadium this Friday to face the Charleston Battery.
Miami, meanwhile, is 7-11-4 with 25 points, is in eighth place in the league standings, and takes on the defending league champion Vancouver Whitecaps Sunday at Swangard Stadium.
