Marco Terminesi assisted in the seventh minute on a Lawrence Olum goal, then scored back-to-back goals in the final two minutes of play as the host Minnesota Thunder shut out the Cleveland City Stars, 3-0, Thursday in United Soccer Leagues First Division play at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.
Terminesi was assisted by Jeremiah Bass on his 89th minute point and had an unassisted play in the 90th minute.
The Thunder are 5-11-8 with 23 points for ninth place in the league standings and travel to the Puerto Rico Islanders Saturday.
The City Stars fell to 3-16-7 with 16 points for tenth place in the 11-team table. They will next host the Montreal Impact at Middlefield Cheese Stadium in Bedford, OH next Saturday.
