United Soccer Leagues named Minnesota Thunder forward Melvin Tarley and Wilmington Hammerheads midfielder Jyler Noviello the Players of the Week in the First and Second Divisions, respectively, Tuesday.
This is the final week of the USL2 awards this season.
Tarley scored the game-winning goal off a Ricardo Sanchez assist in the 68th minute of a 1-0 road win against the Miami FC Blues last Friday, then scored both goals in a 2-2 draw Sunday at the Austin Aztex.
Noviello had the game-winning goal for the eventual regular season champion Hammerheads in the 29th minute of a 2-0 win Friday at home against the Real Maryland Monarchs, then had an unassisted goal in the 73rd minute in a 2-2 draw at home against the Richmond Kickers.
