Nate Jaqua, a former member of Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo, now owners of the best record in the league as well as the lead in the Western Conference standings, was assisted by Steve Zakauni and James Riley on a 70th minute goal that helped his new employer -- the Seattle Sounders -- gain a 1-1 draw Sunday at Robertson Stadium at the University of Houston.
Seattle, at 8-6-9 with 33 points, is now tied for third place in the Western Conference standings with Chivas USA (10-7-3) and are two points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy for second (8-4-11, 35) and seven behind the Dynamo for first. They will host Toronto FC Saturday at Qwest Field.
Houston, who got the opening goal of the game in the 36th minute as Brad Davis fed Geoff Cameron, has the best record in MLS at 11-6-7 with 40 points and will play this Sunday at the Colorado Rapids. Before that, the Dynamo will host Panama's Arabe Unido in Round 2, Group A play at the 2009-10 CONCACAF Champions League.
