With the regular season championship already locked up, the Los Angeles Sol were upset by the Chicago Red Stars, 3-1, at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL in Women's Professional Soccer play Sunday.
Carli Lloyd and Lindsay Tarpley fired off goals to take a 2-0 lead for Chicago. Han Duan scored for the Sol off a Shannon Boxx assist in the 90th minute to cut the lead in half, but Chicago's Cristiane scored in second half stoppage time for the victory.
The Sol are 11-3-5 with 38 points and end the regular season next Sunday at the Boston Breakers.
Chicago is 5-9-5 with 20 points and will end their season Wednesday at St. Louis Athletica.
