Rapids Lose Clark For Season Due To Torn ACL

Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids announced midfielder Colin Clark tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while training Tuesday and will now miss the remainder of the season.

He is scheduled to undergo surgery next week to repair the damage.

Clark played in 16 games for Colorado this season, scoring three goals and tallying a career-high five assists.

He also played in his first game for the US Men's National Team July 11 against Honduras in Chicago during the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
