Ralston Rallies Revs To Victory Over Earthquakes

Steve Ralston scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season off a Shalrie Joseph assist in the 68th minute, then assisted Wells Thompson on his 74th minute game-winning goal as the New England Revolution extended the San Jose Earthquakes' Major League Soccer winless streak to 10 games in a 2-1 victory at Gillette Stadium.

San Jose is 0-8-2 in their last 10 games and had their only goal come in the 92nd minute as Ramon Corrales and Quincy Amarikawa assisted Ramon Sanchez.

The Revolution are 9-6-6 with 33 points and in third place in the Eastern Conference standings, five points behind the Chicago Fire (10-6-8, 38) for second place and six behind the defending MLS champion Columbus Crew (10-3-9) for first place. New England hosts the Kansas City Wizards next Saturday.

San Jose is in last place in the Western Conference at 5-12-5 with 20 points and host the Colorado Rapids September 18.
