Onward, Forward For USL Player Of The Week Winners

Forwards Mandjou Keita of the Portland Timbers and Kevin King of the Real Maryland Monarchs were named the United Soccer Leagues Players of the Week Tuesday from the First and Second Divisions, respectively.

Keita had a goal and two assists in the Timbers' 3-1 win over the Charleston Battery at PGE Park to extend their league-record unbeaten streak to 20 games (11-0-9) since losing the opening game of the season.

King joined fellow forward (and Team of the Week member) Jamie Holmes in scoring a pair of goals in Real's 4-3 win over the Bermuda Hogges to clinch the fifth and final playoff spot in the league, heading toward the final weekend of the regular season.
