Galaxy Finally Get Victory At Revolution

Landon Donovan scored his ninth goal of the season and Jovan Kirovski was assisted by Alan Gordon and Eddie Lewis as the Los Angeles Galaxy extended their Major League Soccer unbeaten streak to six games and won for the first time in eight games against the New England Revolution, 2-1, Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

Donovan is in second place behind Guillermo Barros Schelotto of the defending league champion Columbus Crew with 10 in the race for the Budweiser Golden Boot goal scoring title.

The Galaxy won for the fifth time in their last six games and improved their road record to 4-1-6 this season while the Revolution lost for the second time at home this season.

Steve Ralston scored New England's lone goal on an 83rd minute penalty kick.

Los Angeles is now 7-3-10 with 31 points and is in second place in the Western Conference behind the Houston Dynamo (20-6-5, 35). The Galaxy next host Seattle next Saturday at The Home Depot Center.

New England is leveled at 6-6-6 with 24 points and is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Revolution travel to the Sounders August 20.
