Earthquakes Trade Cochrane For International Roster Spot

The San Jose Earthquakes earned an additional Major League Soccer international roster spot from the Houston Dynamo Friday by trading defender Ryan Cochrane.

Cochrane has scored two goals in 21 games over the last two seasons with San Jose after being picked in the 2007 MLS Expansion Draft.

Drafted by the original Earthquakes franchise in 2004 -- and playing in a total of 32 games over the next two seasons, Cochrane moved with the team to Houston, where they were rebranded the Dynamo.

In the 2006 and 2007 MLS seasons, he played in a combined 52 games.
