Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes acquired the services of defender Fabio de Silva Tuesday on loan from Brazilian club Rio Blanco and announced he will play Saturday for them against the Kansas City Wizards.
In his second stint with Rio Blanco, he served as their captain and led them to a fourth place finish.
He also played in Brazil for Sport Club Recife (1997-2001), Campinense (2001), Treze (2001) and Clube Nautico Capibanbe (2008).
In Serbia, he played at Napredak Krusevac (2007), Rad Belgrado (2002-05, 2007) and Red Star Belgrade (2005-08).
