Cuesta Loaned To Chivas USA From Colombia's Expreso Rojo; Curtin, Razov Placed On IR

Major League Soccer's Chivas USA announced Saturday they have acquired defender Yamith Cuesta on loan from Expreso Rojo of Colombia's second division.

Cuesta, also a member of Colombia's U-20 National Team, debuted professionally with first division team Santa Fe in 2007, scoring two goals in 24 games. He enjoyed Expreso Rojo in 2008.

In related news, Chivas placed defender Jim Curtin and forward Ante Razov on their disabled list, meaning they must miss a minimum of six games, making them eligible to return September 26 against the New York Red Bulls.

Curtin has a pereneus brevis tear in his left ankle and is scheduled to have surgery August 26, which would put him out of action for four to six months.

Razov has not played this season due to right ankle tendonitis, which he had surgery to correct January 30.
