Maykel Galindo scored Chivas USA's first goal in 335 minutes in the 15th minute on a Chukwudi Chijindu assist and Eduardo Lillingston had help from Michael Lahoud and Gerson Mayer on a second-half stoppage time goal in a 2-0 victory over the hapless New York Red Bulls, the worst team in Major League Soccer, Saturday at Giants Stadium.
The win also ended Chivas' five-game losing streak.
Chivas is 9-7-3 with 30 points and is tied for fourth place in the Western Conference standings with the Colorado Rapids (8-6-6, 30) and hosts Toronto FC next Saturday.
The Red Bulls are 2-16-4 with 10 points and host FC Dallas next Sunday.
