Alen Marcina's final-minute goal off Jack Traynor was enough for the host Miami FC Blues to play to a 1-1 draw Saturday against the Montreal Impact in United Soccer Leagues First Division play at Florida International University Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Miami kept themselves in the running for one of the league's seven playoff berths with the win and are now 7-8-4 with 25 points and tied for sixth place with the defending league champion Vancouver Whitecaps (7-7-4). The Whitecaps played to a scoreless draw earlier Saturday with the Cleveland City Stars at Middlefield Cheese Stadium in Bedford, OH. Miami next travels to the Puerto Rico Islanders next Saturday.
Montreal is 6-8-5 with 23 points and in eighth place and will host the Minnesota Thunder next Sunday.
