In an interview with The Associated Press, Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham said he may look at owning a Major League Soccer franchise when his current contract expires.
In his five-year deal with the league that he signed in 2007, he has the right to buy an existing franchise or bid for an expansion team.
He has stated previously he wants to opt out of his contract at the end of the season and return to Italy to play for AC Milan, who had him on an extended loan.
