US Men's National Team forward Jozy Altidore told his fans through his Twitter account Wednesday he has signed a contract to join Hull of the English Premier League, pending a work permit.
He stated he will be officially introduced at a Thursday press conference and his "first match is at Chelsea."
Altidore began his professional career with Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls before joining Villareal in Spain's first division in June 2008. On January 30, 2009, he was loaned to Villareal to second division team Xerex for the remainder of their season.
