ACL Tear Ended Tarpley's Season For Red Stars

Now out of the running for the initial playoffs in Women's Professional Soccer, the Chicago Red Stars announced Monday forward Lindsey Tarpley tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee during the last five minutes of last Tuesday's final training session in St. Louis.

An MRI was done earlier last week to confirm the injury and doctors are optimistic about whether the two-time WPS Player of the Week will be able to return in time for the 2010 WPS season.
