Ryan Youngblood connected with Jordan Crasilneck on goals in the 53rd and 66th minutes as the host Vancouver Whitecaps Residency shut out the Portland Timbers U-23s, 2-0, Sunday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League action from Simon Fraser University.
The win evened Vancouver's record to 2-2-2 with eight points and are in seventh place in the Western Conference, Northwest Division. They will hit the road this weekend to play the Seattle Wolves Saturday and the Kitsap Pumas on Sunday.
Portland is tied with the Wolves for second place in the division with identical 6-2-1 records and 19 points. The Timbers U-23s host the Tacoma Tide Sunday.
