WPS Teams Ranked In Latest Women's Soccer World Rankings

All seven franchises in the inaugural season of Women's Professional Soccer continue to be ranked in the latest monthly poll released Wednesday by WomensWorldFootball.com, which ranks teams based on their performance within the last year, with more current matches gaining more attention.

The league-leading Los Angeles Sol are in second in the top 20 poll behind Germany's FCR 2001 Duisberg, who holds the number one ranking for a fifth straight month.

The Boston Breakers are fourth, followed by the Washington Freedom (fifth), St. Louis Athletica (sixth), FC Gold Pride (tenth), Sky Blue FC (16th) and the Chicago Red Stars (19th).

One professional team from the United Soccer Leagues W-League -- the FC Indiana Lionesses -- made the poll at 17th.

The next women's soccer world rankings by the website will be announced July 2.
