Davy Arnaud and Aaron Hohlbein scored goals to lead the host Kansas City Wizards to a 3-1 victory over the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer action Saturday from Community America Ballpark.
New England's Shalrie Joseph scored off a Steve Ralston assist in the 28th minute to tie the game at 1-1, but Jeff Larentowicz mistakenly kicked the ball into his own net to give Kansas City the lead in the 36th minute and the Wizards sealed the Revs' fate on Hohlbein's goal three minutes later.
Kansas City is 5-5-4 with 19 and tied for third place in the Eastern Conference standings with Toronto FC.
New England is 4-4-4 with 16 points and are tied for fifth with the defending league champion Columbus Crew.
Both teams next play July 4 -- Kansas City hosting the Houston Dynamo, New England heading out west to meet the Los Angeles Galaxy.
