Brent Whitfield had unassisted goals in the 12th and 37th minutes Wednesday as his Los Angeles Legends became tied for the lead in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League's Western Conference, Southwest Division with the Hollywood United Hitmen after a 2-1 victory over the Orange County Blue Star at Concordia University.
The Legends and Hitmen are both 7-2-2 with 23 points.
Chad Brook scored Orange County's goal in the 28th minute, thanks to an assist from Ian Sarachan. The Blue Star are 4-5-4 with 16 points and in fourth place.
Los Angeles hosts the Southern California Seahorses this Saturday, then faces Orange County again July 1.
