Ashley McGhee assisted Kate Qually on her 24th minute goal and Jodi-Ann Robinson did the same for Nikki Wright in thr 77th minute as the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the host Ventura County Fusion, 3-1, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues W-League play at Buena High School.
The Fusion's other score came on an own goal by Vancouver in the 28th minute.
Jazmarae Strozier scored Vancouver's lone goal unassisted in the eighth minute.
The win ended a five-game winless streak for the Whitecaps, now 1-1-4 with seven points and in fourth place in the Western Conference.
Ventura County is 1-3-2 with five points and tied with the Los Angeles Legends (1-2-2) for fifth place.
Vancouver hosts the Colorado Force next Sunday and the Fusion are at the Seattle Wolves next Monday.
