Garrett Webb's goal in the 85th minute allowed the Des Moines Menace, who took over the top spot in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League's Central Conference, Heartland Division, to retain their place another game in a 1-0 victory over the host Rochester Thunder at Rochester Community Technical College Sunday.
The Thunder are 5-6-0 with 15 points and in fourth place in the standings. They will travel Saturday to face the Real Colorado Foxes.
Des Moines, at 7-0-4 with 25 points, will host the defending PDL champion Thunder Bay Chill at Valley Stadium Saturday.
