There are now two teams with the best record in Major League Soccer and one of them is the two-time league champion Houston Dynamo after newly acquired Cam Weaver had two goals as they beat FC Dallas, 2-1, Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX to not only claim the El Capitan series crown for 2009, but join Chivas USA at 8-2-3 with 27 points in sharing the Western Conference lead.
Richard Mulrooney also scored as the Dynamo extended their current winning streak to five games. Dallas, meanwhile, had a four-game unbeaten streak snapped.
Dallas is 2-7-4 with 10 points and in seventh place in the conference standings.
Both teams host games this Saturday -- the Dynamo welcome Real Salt Lake, Dallas invites the defending champion Crew to town.
