Jamie Watson scored on a penalty kick before halftime and had a goal in the 74th minute off Kenny Bundy to lead the Wilmington Hammerheads to a 3-0 shutout of the host Real Maryland Monarchs Sunday in United Soccer Leagues Second Division play at Richard Montgomery High School.
Zeke Dombrowski opened the game with a goal for Wilmington in the 34th minute.
Wilmington is 5-3-2 with 17 points and is tied for third place with the Richmond Kickers (4-2-5). They will host the league-leading Harrisburg City Islanders Saturday.
Real Maryland, 5-6-0 with 15 points and in fifth, travel to Crystal Palace Baltimore Friday night.
