Veteran Winners Vie For Another GOW Award

Four of the five nominees announced Monday for Major League Soccer's Sierra Mist Goal of the Week award have already picked up awards during the season, but now want more.

Fans can view the highlights of each nominee and vote for their choice through 2 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday at www.mlsnet.com.

Here are this week's nominees:

Chris Pontius, DC United
- Previously won in Week 8
- Scored opening goal in 34th minute off Santino Quaranta assist in 3-3 draw to Seattle Sounders Wednesday

Fredy Montero, Seattle Sounders
- Won the award in the first two weeks of the season
- Had an unassisted goal in the 57th minute of a 3-3 tie with DC United Wednesday and another unassisted play in first-half stoppage time in a 1-1 draw to the New York Red Bulls Saturday

Omar Cummings, Colorado Rapids
- Previously won in Week 12
- Was named Monday the MLS Player of the Week for Week 14
- Scored two goals, assisted on another in 3-0 win Saturday over DC United

Eric Avila, FC Dallas
Scored off David Fereira assist in 80th minute in 2-1 upset win over the defending champion Columbus Crew at Pizza Hut Park Saturday

Brian Ching, Houston Dynamo
- Previously won in Week 5
- Scored off a Brian Mullin assist in 89th minute of 1-1 draw to Real Salt Lake Saturday
