USMNT G Howard Signs Five-Year Deal With Everton

In a deal done May 28 but officially announced Friday, US Men's National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard said he signed a five-year deal to remain with Everton of the English Premier League.

Everton, who lost in the final of the FA Cup May 26, finished fifth in the EPL and earned a berth in the new UEFA Europa League.

Howard started all 38 EPL games this season for Everton and made 10 other appearances for them in the FA, League and UEFA Cup tournaments.

He was acquired by Manchester United from Major League Soccer's MetroStars in 2003, then joined Everton in the 2006-07 season.
