Timbers Impact Hurts Falling Montreal

Mandjou Keita had two goals and George Josten assisted on a pair of scores as the host Portland Timbers shut out the Montreal Impact, 4-0, Sunday in United Soccer Leagues First Division play from Portland's PGE Park.

The Timbers are 7-1-5 with 26 points and in third place in the USL1 standings, a point behind the Charleston Battery (7-2-6, 27) for second and two behind the Puerto Rico Islanders (8-4-4, 28) for first place. Portland travels to the Minnesota Thunder Saturday.

Montreal is treading water at 5-5-2 with 17 points and in sixth place. They will host the Battery at Saputo Stadium next Sunday.
