Santiago Mejia and Mark Henry Preston scored goals to lead the host Rochester Thunder to a 2-1 United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League victory over the St. Louis Lions Sunday at Rochester Technical Community College.
Jonny Brown assisted on Stephen Brooks' goal for St. Louis.
The Lions, despite the loss, are tied for second place in the Central Conference, Heartland Division with the Des Moines Menace at 3-1-2 and 11 points. St. Louis hosts the Real Colorado Foxes Saturday.
Rochester is 3-2-0 with nine points and in fourth place in the conference. They host the defending PDL champion Thunder Bay Chill Friday.
