Facing the loss of three points in the standings, Michael Stark scored a last-minute second-half goal off a Nick Brindley assist as the host Virginia Legacy escaped with a 1-1 draw to the Hampton Roads Pirahnas Thursday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at James City County Stadium.
Kyle Hartley scored Hampton Roads' goal in the 51st minute unassisted.
Hampton Roads is 1-2-2 with five points and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, Mid-Atlantic Division. Virginia is 1-0-5 with eight points and are tied with the Carolina Dynamo for second in the division.
Both teams play again next Friday at Virginia Wesleyan College.
