Ben Sippola had two goals to lead the Cascade Surge to a 2-1 win over the expansion Victoria Highlanders, 2-1, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at City Center Stadium.
Likuis Harens assisted Sippola on his first score in the eighth minute and Aaron Patrick helped out on his 29th minute play.
Victoria's goal came in the sixth minute by way of a Cascade player having an own goal.
The Surge are 4-3-1 with 13 points and are fourth in the Western Conference, Northwest Division race while the Highlanders are 2-3-2 with nine points and tied with the Tacoma Tide for fifth place.
Both teams meet again this Saturday at McCullough Stadium at the University of Washington.
