Ben Sippola assisted on goals by Juan Chang in the 19th minute and Ibrahim Bangura in the 53rd minute as the Cascade Surge shut out the visiting Victoria Highlanders, 2-0, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play.
The Surge are 5-3-1 with 16 points and in fourth place in the Western Conference, Northwest Division standings. They will host the Portland Timbers U23s Friday and the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency next Saturday.
Victoria, at 2-5-3 with nine points, are tied with the Yakima Reds (3-6-0), Spokane Spiders (3-9-0) and Tacoma Tide (2-3-3) for fifth place in the division.
The Highlanders will host the Reds Friday.
