Shuttleworth Joins Revs, Simmons Departs

Major League Soccer's New England Revolution announced Thursday they have signed goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworh to a developmental contract and released goalkeeper Zack Simmons.

Shuttleworth recently played in the United Soccer Leagues First Division for Austin Aztex after spending the last three collegiate seasons at the University of Buffalo. In his senior season there, he started all 20 games, had a 0.63 goals against average, eight shutouts and a .833 save percentage en route to earning all-Mid-American Conference honors.

Simmons signed with the Revs as a free agent January 30 after playing at the University of Massachusetts. He never played in a game for New England.
