Seahorses Rally Leads To Tie With Cougars

Down 3-1 after an hour of play, Chris Leiva scored an unassisted goal in the 85th minute and Ryan Shaw fed a pass to Dustin Suppe five minutes later as the host Southern California Seahorses rallied and tied the BYU Cougars, 3-3, Thursday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at La Mirada High School.

Tomislav Colic opened the game for the Seahorses in the fourth minute, but Zachary DeFrancis (37'), Steven Richards (40') and Jordan Cushman (60') barraged the nets to put the Cougars up for the potential three points until Southern California fought back.

The Seahorses are 3-2-4 with 13 points and are tied for fifth place in the Western Conference, Southwest Division with the Fresno Fuego (3-4-4). They will face the Los Angeles Legends Saturday at Bishop Mora High School.
