RSL Stretches Unbeaten String To Four Over Toronto FC

Clint Mathis teamed with Javier Morales on a Kyle Beckerman goal in the 44th minute and scored a goal via a Ned Grabavoy assist in the 78th minute as Real Salt Lake shut out Toronto FC, 3-0, Saturday in Major League Soccer play from Rio Tinto Stadium, extending their current winning streak to four games.

Yura Movsisyan opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute.

RSL is 5-6-4 with 19 points and in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. They host the San Jose Earthquakes next Saturday.

Toronto (6-6-4, 22 points) is tied with the defending league champion Columbus Crew (5-3-7) for second place in the Eastern Conference standings, one point behind DC United (5-3-8). Toronto will be at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, CA July 11 to meet San Jose.
