Ben Arikian (62nd minute) and Michael Todd (90th minute) had unassisted goals as the host Long Island Rough Riders shut out the New Jersey Rangers, 2-0, in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League action at St. Anthony's High School Saturday.
The Rough Riders lead the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division with a 7-1-0 record and 21 points and are tied with the Western Conference, Southwest Division's Hollywood United Hitmen for the best record in the PDL this season. Long Island travels to the Rhode Island Stingrays this Saturday.
The Rangers (1-4-1, four points) are tied with the New Hampshire Phantoms (1-6-1) for last place in the division and meet Saturday at Rhode Island College.
