Rhinos Sign Ukah, Harden To Deals

The Rochester Rhinos of the United Soccer Leagues First Division announced the acquisitions of forward Warren Ukah and defender Ty Harden Thursday.

Ukah had been playing with the Portland Timbers U23s in the USL Premier Development League. He has had two stints in his native country of Jamaica with Village United in the Jamaican National Premier League, but has also played in his career with the USL1 Atlanta Silverbacks and Virginia Beach Mariners, the Wilmington Hammerheads of USL Second Division, and the Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor Soccer League and the Xtreme Soccer League.

Harden was loaned to the Rhinos from the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer, who acquired his rights in a January 2009 trade. A second-round 2007 MLS SuperDraft pick by the Los Angeles Galaxy, he was the team's Rookie of the Year and set a then-rookie record for player starts. He took the 2008 season off to pursue other activities before returning this season.
