Red Bulls Now Worst In MLS After Draw With Sounders

The New York Red Bulls managed to finally earn their first point in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference standings since May 16 and snapped a five-game losing streak Saturday.

That's the good news.

The bad news is they played to a 1-1 draw to the Seattle Sounders at Giants Stadium, they are still winless in their last seven games and, at 2-10-4 with 10 points, are now the worst team in both the Eastern Conference and MLS.

Juan Pablo Angel scored in the fifth minute for the Red Bulls, but Fredy Montero scored the equalizer in first half stoppage time for the Sounders, who are 5-3-7 with 22 points and are in third in the Western Conference.

The Red Bulls are next at the defending champion Columbus Crew Wednesday and the Sounders host the Colorado Rapids next Saturday.
