Guiseppe Tubito had a goal and an assist and Sammy Gehman and Eric Brown added goals as the New Jersey Rangers edged the host Newark Ironbound Express, 3-2, Tuesday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at Lubetkin Field on the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Jerrod Laventure and Chris Karcz scored goals for the Express.
The Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak and are now 1-3-1 with four points and are tied with the Rhode Island Stingrays for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division.
Newark is now 4-5-0 with 12 points in the standings.
The Rangers next play at the Long Island Rough Riders this Saturday while the Express rest until June 9 when they take on the Brooklyn Knights.
