RailHawks To Host Honduras-Panama Friendly June 28

The United Soccer Leagues First Division's Carolina RailHawks, in conjunction with Progressive Marketing Group, announced Monday Honduras and Panama will play an international friendly June 28 at Carolina's WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC.

The two teams last met January 30 in the semifinals of the UNCAF Nations Cup, where Panama won, 1-0, en route to taking the championship title in penalty kicks over Costa Rica.

Honduras (2-2-1, seven points) is currently third in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, behind Costa Rica (4-1-0, 12) and the United States (3-1-1, 10), but are ahead of Mexico (2-3-0, six).

Honduras and the US will face each other during the upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup, hosted by the US, as they were drawn to Group B with Grenada and Haiti.

Panama will be in Group C at the Gold Cup with Mexico, Guadeloupe and Nicaragua.
