Jesse Dunbar sent a pass off to Tye Perdido in the 71st minute for the game-winning goal as the host Spokane Spiders edged the Abbotsford Mariners, 3-2, Friday in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at Greyhound Park.
Zachary Smith started the scoring for Spokane in the 22nd minute, but Justin Gordick knotted the game at 1-all in the 31st minute.
In the second half, Jay Vela gave the Spiders the lead back in the 53rd minute, only to see Brenden Podolsky force a 2-2 tie in the 61st minute.
The Spiders (3-9-0, nine points) are tied with the Victoria Highlanders (2-4-3) and Tacoma Tide (2-3-3) for fifth place and are at the Tide next Saturday.
Abbotsford (2-5-1, seven points, ninth place) travels to the Yakima Reds Saturday.
