Jennifer Parsons assisted Sandra Matute and Caitlin Miskel on goals in the 45th and 84th minutes, respectively, as the Washington Freedom shut out the New Jersey Wildcats, 3-0, in United Soccer Leagues W-League play from the Maryland Soccerplex Sunday.
Brittany Tegeler scored the Freedom's first goal in the 33rd minute off Katherine Watson's assist.
Washington is 5-1-0 with 15 points and in third place in the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division while the Wildcats are two points back in fifth at 4-3-1 with 13.
The Freedom head to the winless Western Mass Lady Pioneers Saturday, then visit the Connecticut Passion Sunday.
New Jersey stays home this weekend to play the division-leading Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues Friday and the Long Island Rough Riders Saturday.
