Machel Millwood scored off a Pat Healey assist in the 27th minute, then assisted Val Teixiera on his game-winning goal in the 53rd minute as host Crystal Palace Baltimore edged the Wilmington Hammerheads, 2-1, Saturday in United Soccer Leagues Second Division play at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
Jyler Noviello's 86th minute goal from John DeVae proved worthless for the Hammerheads.
Baltimore is 4-5-3 with 15 points and tied for second place in the standings with their intrastate rival Real Maryland Monarchs. They travel to the Bermuda Hogges Friday.
Wilmington, who are at the Monarchs next Sunday, are 4-3-2 with 14 points and in fourth place in the standings.
